New Year

Ah, a new year and a new decade. Skiing conditions are great at Monarch Ski Resort. Crowds are all gone so now's the time to come on over and brush up on your skills. Thinking about summer already - we had a guy call the other day for reservations in September 2010 - come on over and go ATVing or rafting... It's winter now. I've been doing alot of quilting because business is so slow. It's rather disheartening - business not the quilting. Monarch Ski Resort will be opening on time this year; in years past it has had to wait for Mother Nature to bring enough snow.

Isn't this rainbow awesome?! This photo was taken after a nice evening rain here in the Upper Arkansas Valley. We don't get alot of rain here being as we are in the high plains surrounded by mountains.

It's a beautiful day here in Southern Colorado and Salida specifically. It's in the 50s outside with just a few light clouds in the sky. Lee and I went for a walk and saw geese (Honkers as they call them in Canada) and ducks that were flying in pairs. Spring is just around the corner. Now's the time to start planning your summer vacation.
